ODR is a process for the parties involved in the case to discuss the issues with the help of a neutral third party, outside of the courtroom. All discussions occur in an online environment at your convenience.
Your legal document outlining your areas of agreement will be prepared by the mediator and sent to both parties and any attorneys for review, approval, and signature. After all signatures are completed, the mediator will deliver the document to the assigned Judge for signature. You will receive an official copy of your signed Agreement in the mail after the process is completed and if there is a hearing set in your case, it may be vacated.
The mediator will notify the Court that no agreement was reached. You will need to attend any scheduled hearings and you may need to file something with the Court if you have no current Court action pending. You may have the option to participate in additional in-person services through the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court, Family Division.
