Frequently Asked Questions

What is Online Case Resolution?

It's a way to have court staff review your case; once you have requested a court date, you can possibly resolve your ticket without having to come to court for a hearing.

What are the benefits of Online Case Resolution?

Time is money! You could get your compliance traffic charge dismissed and you can do it online, rather than going to court! Compliance tickets eligible are no proof of insurance, registration, and driver’s license.

How is it different online than appearing in court?

It's not. There's real court staff on the other side, making decisions about your case based on the same criteria they would if you went to court in person. It just takes place through this website.

How does it work

It's easy. Set your eligible civil traffic ticket for a court date. Once you receive the notice of hearing from the court, simply follow the instructions to go to the site and start your online resolution up to three (3) days before your court date. You must submit proof of compliance online. A traffic hearing officer reviews your documents submitted online and then makes the final decision. You will receive a text or email with the result. If you choose not to submit your case for online case resolution or fail to fully complete the process, you MUST appear remotely as instructed on the notice of court appearance.

Is there a charge for using Online Case Resolution?

There is a $5.00 convenience fee required.

Why does the court allow Online Case Resolution?

The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida is committed to the idea that the Online Case Resolution approach will increase the public’s access to justice in a fair and efficient manner.

What happens if my request is rejected?

You must upload proof up to 3 days prior to your scheduled hearing date appearing on your notice of court appearance, or you MUST appear remotely ON YOUR HEARING DATE as instructed on the notice of court appearance, by accessing Zoom.us

How do I know if I'm eligible?

Just enter your ticket information to determine eligibility. If you are eligible, submit a request. Whether your request is approved is entirely up to the court.

What does it mean if I am ineligible?

Try a search. If you are ineligible, we'll tell you why.

If my request is approved, will I still have to pay a fine?

No. If your compliance documents are valid, your case may be dismissed.

How will I know when a decision has been made?

We will send an email or text, as well as update the message on your status page when you come back to the website.

When are cases reviewed?

Cases will be reviewed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.

When can I access Online Case Resolution?

Once you have requested court you can access the Online Case Resolution platform 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using any internet connected device: your own cell phone, tablet or personal computer.

What if I choose not to participate in the online process?
